could not activate faithlife plugin

    Super excited to find this plugin but I can not activate it!
    Any suggestion on how to correct this – not sure what this error means?

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home2/zeteothr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/faithlife-news-widget/faithlifenews_widget.php on line 29
