• Good morning!

I am running WordPress on IIS 7.5/Windows Server 2008. Installation and most tasks are just as breezy as they are on a Linux server. Awesome. However, I’ve run into a problem on automatic updates. The automatic update process begins and then I’m told “Could not copy file: wp-admin/update-core.php.” Here’s a screen shot:

I’ve verified and I believe that both my FTP user and my IUSR user on my server have full access to the wp-admin folder. Have I missed something?

    Thanks!

This afternoon, I gave IUSR complete permissions to the root of my entire website — the WordPress parts and the not-WordPress parts. Then my auto update worked. Naturally, I don’t want to have to do this. Any ideas?
