Could not create serial number

I think this plug-in is not compatible with WordPress 5.3

There is no compatibility issue with WordPress 5.3. Your database version is lower than the required minimum. The plugin needs a minimum version of 5.6. You can check your current database version under the WooCommerce submenu status.

Finally, update your database, deactivate and reactivate the plugin. It will then be able to create the necessary tables and solve your problem. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.

I have just updated the MySQL version from 5.5 to 5.6.45.

Then I have deactivate and activate the WooCommerce Serial Numbers plug-in.
I still can the same error.

I’m really interested in buying WooCommerce Serial License Pro. But I need at least a working plug-in.

The strange thing is that, your DEMO website https://demo.pluginever.com/wc-serial-numbers/ ALSO not running minimum version of 5.6. See this screenshot.

So updating MySQL database does not help, your plugin is not compatible with WordPress 5.3.

Yes, the demo site has a close version of 5.6 installed but the WordPress version is 5.3. We are all running on the latest version and none of our customers have complained about it yet.

It is obvious that your database tables did not create for some reason so you are unable to create serial numbers. We would suggest you to completely remove the plugin and then install it again. Thank you.

Hi @pluginever, I have already solved the problem by completely remove WordPress (public_html files) and empty the database.

Then I have install WordPress, WooCommerce and WooCommerce Serial Numbers. Now it works… Thank you!

It is great to hear that you have solved the problem. The problem should be with the database version. The error only occurs when the plugin fails to find the respective tables to store serial numbers.
