• I get this error when WordPress tries to send an e-mail. What have I tried:
    – Connectivity test – all services seem to be available
    – Configured e-mailaccount in Outlook with same credentials – everything works
    – Tried port 25, 465 and 587 with both encryption options

What could this be? The server it’s connectin to is a new VPS.

Also, connecting to a different server does work.

I’m having the same issue, too. Everything was working fine just two hours ago, and it was working fine for years since I began using Post SMTP… so I can’t figure out what caused this error to come now.

I am suddenly having this issue too. Tested 3 ports for smtp and still get the error.

I am having the same issue.

Nevermind. For me it was the server issue. Seems like they have changed the Outgoing Mail Server Hostname. I replaced the hostname and it started to working again.
    Thanks

    Same issue…

I had the same issues today but I set the ‘security’ to ‘NONE’ and everything went back to normal. Unsure how it changed or why it changed but managed to get it to run.
