    I switched to PayPal Card Processing and I got my first failed order from a customer tonight with the message: “Could not process order. Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.” I then logged on to my site and tried to recreate it and was able to get in about 1 in 5 times I tried.

    Hi @jsaleska,

    Apologies for the trouble with credit card payments. We are looking into reports about sporadic payment failures with the PayPal Card Processing.
    Can you reproduce this behavior on your site with all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments disabled?
    So far, we have seen this problem primarily on more complex sites with many active plugins and could not yet determine a definite cause.
    This is a high priority for us to resolve though, so we hope to have a better understanding of the problem and an appropriate solution soon.

    While we are working on resolving the behavior, disabling the PayPal Card Processing in favor of the default black smart button may provide more consistent payment results.

    Since I came looking for the same reason, I was just wondering if there’s been any progress on identifying the problem. We’re seeing the same thing on our sites.

    Actually, while I’m here. Stupid question, but if you can still pay with a credit card after turning off credit card processing….what’s the difference?

    Getting the same problem but only on a couple of orders today. Happens on card and Paypal payments. Spoke to both customers and both claimed that on the checkout page the card section was not there, just Paypal which threw the session error.

    Tried to duplicate and did get it once using Chrome Mobile but ok since. I assume the credit card input is an iFrame and I suspect there are issues with it loading so perhaps the problem lies with Paypal (surprise, surprise) and not the plugin.

    I had this issue today. What with that and the problem that orders are intermittently marked on hold instead of processing, I’m going back to the old plugin again.

    We have just binned Paypal off for credit cards and now just using stripe. Guys at Inpsyde were helpful but Paypal were just a waste of time. Blamed everyone else, said it was our site, the plugin, the customer inputting the wrong info (what all of them)? Random server errors from Paypal, timeouts, 500 errors all on Paypals side. These were confirmed by third parties all having the same issue but STILL Paypal say no problems their end. The new Paypal plugin connects to Braintree servers and that’s where the issue is.
