Could not remove parent categories

    Hi, I deleted all categories in woocommerce, however, there are a bunch of categories showing up in the parent category dropdown menu when I was trying to add a new category! I am not sure how to remove them..! I believe these categories belong to demo products that came with the theme, It’s really confusing me. Those parent categories which are showing up in the dropdown menu are not listed in the category list. Appreciate your quick response – Thanks

    Hi @abuaarah,

    Categories and subcategories can be removed from WP Admin → Products → Categories then select the category you want to remove and use the bulk actions panel on the right to delete it completely.

    If you’ve already tried that and the categories are still showing up then you can delete them from the database heading to the wp_terms table. There’s more on product categories and the database tables where they’re stored here.
