could use some guidance on setting up my home page

Hi all,

I could use a bit of guidance on how to get started here. I installed Elementor yesterday, and figured I’d have my new homepage up in an hour or so, but not so fast. Oddly, the welcome heading level 1 has disappeared from my current homepage, but that should be easy enough to fix. If you’ll notice on my current site, I have two recent posts widgets, one for each category, with custom heading blocks above each. What I’m attempting to do is have each post as a heading level 3 rather than as a list as it currently is, somewhat inspired by the design of another website. I asked about doing this in another thread here back in January, but then got busy with school and am just now getting around to testing this out. The response I got in that thread was that the native posts block doesn’t do what I’m looking for, but a page builder might do the trick. Can anyone give me some guidance on what I’m trying to do? The site I was somewhat inspired by is radioinsight.com, which does use a page builder. It also kind of looks like columbian.com does something similar to what I’m looking for, but there’s no evidence of a page builder on that site.
