I can’t find any optimization plugin capable of inlining font files, could you add that as a feature?

    Hi @jazir5,

Really sorry for this late respond.

Can you explain what you mean with “inlining font files”?

Do you mean convert font files to base64? I used to do that in my earlier years in WordPress. But:

    1. Although it makes the page load zero request for fonts, it add much extra weight to the html size.
    2. Converting the font files to base64 makes the size so much larger, so the font characters needs to be filtered first.
    3. With above reasons, I don’t think it will be suitable to make it as a plugin feature ??

That’s too bad :(. Yes I was referring to inlining the font files into the HTML to reduce network requests. There are no plugins that have that feature. I think it could be useful in situations where the font is very small, in the same way as with inlining small css files.

Another request would be if you could add lazyrendering HTML elements in the same way that Flyingpress does. That has significant performance benefits and is currently supported by very few plugins. I haven’t found a single free one that can do that unfortunately.
