When try to add a connection in authenticator, its showing:
‘The code provided does not match the expected value. Please verify that the time on your authenticator device is correct and that this server’s time is correct.’

Previously it was working fine, but last two days its showing like this when I try to add a connection.
I have checked with google authenticator and MS authenticator , both showing same.

    Please advise

Hi @vikp, thanks for reaching out to us.

If you were originally able to set up 2FA successfully, the code on your authentication app must have matched with the server time at the point of creation. However, you can check whether times still match and whether there are any offsets at Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Time. Let me know if there seem to be any discrepancies there.

You could also try activating 2FA with Wordfence as the only plugin enabled on a default theme, as this could rule in/out a plugin or theme conflict often caused by Javascript.

Let me know what you find out!

    Thanks,

    Peter.
