    Hi @melbatoast4,

Sorry to hear you were unable to connect Site Kit. While we didn’t see a support topic open from where we could assist I’d be happy to troubleshoot this with you.

To start, are you encountering any error message, or can you give a description of what’s happening when you try to connect?

I’m using a different plugin that I know works. I just kept getting Error, can’t connect. Maybe because I manage lots of Google Analytics accounts through that email address? I don’t have time to troubleshoot.

    Hi @melbatoast4,

You can have up to 50 connected sites at once, and when connecting any new sites it’s only your longest connect site that will become disconnected, to facilitate a new site. For that reasons I suspect something else may be happening when trying to connect your site.

If you do find the time to attempt set up once more, please share the full error message you’re encountering and I’m confident I can assist and ensure you are able to complete set up. We also have some guides on the plugin website in relation to common errors users may encounter.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

It literally says “Error – Can’t connect.” That’s not real helpful.

Sorry to hear that @melbatoast4. Agree that that’s not very helpful. The reason I ask for the full error if that we do output informative messages where possible, so maybe this is a new error coming from one of the Google API’s that the plugin uses, as this specific error doesn’t appear in the Site Kit codebase.

If you do have a moment to share a screenshot or a recording of this error I can check this with the team. You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt for a screen recording. You can share this privately if preferred, using this link.

I don’t have time to troubleshoot a plugin I’m not going to use, sorry. Good luck!

I understand. If you do decide to give the plugin a try anytime going forward, let us know if you run into any errors and we’d be happy to assist. Best of luck.
