Hi, I can’t connect to the database. Got all credentials and table prefix correct I believe. I imported Drupal SQL into WordPress site DB. And now attempt to do the migration from WP DB of the same installation. Error log keeps showing the error message: Couldn’t connect to the Drupal database. Please check the Drupal table prefix.

    Please advise and thank you

Please check that all the tables of Drupal have been imported in the WordPress database. And please check the Drupal tables prefix ; it may be empty.
    It should work.

    Thanks for the reply.

I did make sure i got the table prefix correctly since the error message indicates that. Actually I initially attempted to connect to Drupal DB on a different server and that didn’t work. I then imported Drupal sql into WP’s with all tables added a prefix of my own ‘drupal_’. And I still get the error message above. I also tried the empty prefix option before adding my own prefix – same problem.

    Any ideas?

Follow-up and solution: Some tables are missing in your Drupal database imported to the WordPress database. Please check that all tables are present in this database.

Hi, what I did was importing the Drupal site sql into the WP database. So I have no idea why and how to check what tables are missing. How would I know? I also attempted to connect directly to the Drupal site, and that also presented the same connection error.

I wonder why the plugin is sensitive to missing tables and craps out?

You can compare the tables in the original database and in the copy with phpMyAdmin.
