Couldn't get it to work on the latest wordpress

I was counting on this or other plugins like this when designing a new site. To my horror, none of them worked with 4.0! The widget was determined to show on every page.
I ended up installing 3.9 instead so I could use this plug in. I hope it gets updated for 4.0 soon: I tried every plugin that claimed to let you select which page the widget shows on and NONE worked on 4.0.
