I have installed the plugin with GDPR checkbox and it doesn’t work as expected. When someone submits their email they get this message: “Couldn’t verify submission – try reloading”. I have a caching plugin installed and when I deactivate it, the Mad Mimi Optin Cat plugin works fine (with hard refresh, as I saw on another post). Since this is a known issue for quite some time, are you planning to fix it or shall I install another plugin?

    Thank you.

    Hi N1njab0y,

Thanks for your message. I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Sorry to hear you had issues with this.

Is it working for you now with the caching plugin deactivated? Sometimes this issue often has to do with an expired nonce. A nonce is a WordPress security feature attached to your login, and if it is expired, some functions cease to work. Sometimes the caching plugins will cause the nonce to not update and bring about the issue you had.

The solution to this, is to reach out to the caching plugin support and ask them how to go about having the Optin Cat plugin ignored from getting cached. Most caching plugins will have features and support articles to solve such conflicts.

I hope that information helps. If there is anything else, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.

When I deactivate the caching plugin it works. The plugin I use is WP Rocket and the only solution I found is this:
    https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1596-can-i-exclude-a-shortcode-from-the-cache
I have Cache Lifespan at 10 hours. Since WP Rocket doesn’t support Fragment Caching there are not many things I can do..

I have tried other plugins and work fine. Also, I have seen that other users have the same issue with Optin Cat. Are you planning to fix it or provide a workaround?

    Hi N1njab0y,

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you send us the links to the other users with WP Rocket issues so that we can investigate further?

As per this guide from WP Rocket – https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/106-my-site-is-broken They suggest testing your site while not optimized https://boardgamestories.com/?nowprocket and they mention “If the problem is still there, it means that file optimizations are not the cause.
If the problem resolves when bypassing WP Rocket, proceed with the next steps.” In this case, when I view the optimized site, the optin form is working.

I suspect the issue could be related to this file getting cached – /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php For further assistance, it would be advised to reach out to WP Rocket for their experience on this issue and finding a workaround.

If there is anything else, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.
