• Hey, count down timer picks time based on users browser time instead of WordPress default time. It creates issue of showing different count down times in different countries.

Hey, it uses a server time when setup and then it is using local user timezone so I believe it should always work as expected.

No it does not. Here is a scenario..!
Site time zone is UTC. My browser time zone is UTC+5.
Now, if I set a count down on my site for 17th Feb, 12am (UTC), it will expire for me on 16th Feb at 19:00 (UTC) (which means 17th Feb, 12am Local Time). When it should actually show me 5 more hours to go.

Please give it a try. Thank you

Oh yes, that is correct – I misunderstood your question.

When setting up a timer, local time zone from browser is used. Once this setting is saved and accessed from different timezone/location, it will correctly display the time remaining.

We decided to not use the WordPress timezone settings, because many customers have hosted server outside of their local timezone and got confused by that later.

    Hope it make sense, Ales
