Count qtys of one product as 1 product for discount

  • Hi there,

    I love the product bundles and this extension and it is so close to perfect for my use case. I am wondering, however, if it is possible to count all quantities >1 of one particular product as just =1 when it comes to the bulk discount rules?

    The reason I need this is because there is one product in the bundle that is significantly cheaper than the rest and any qty of that product is really just one product in practice.

    Please let me know if there is a solution! I would be incredibly grateful.

    Note: in my link, the product I would like to count any quantity >1 as just 1 qty as it relates to the bulk discount is the last one: Poop Bags by the roll.

    At the moment, Bulk Discounts takes into account the individual quantities of each bundled item to calculate the total discount. I definitely understand that in some cases it would be ideal if every bundled item was counted like a single unit — however, this is not possible out of the box.

    To achieve the result you have in mind, it is necessary to write a fair amount of custom code to change the way Bulk Discounts calculates the total quantity (both in PHP and JavaScript level). This is a very technically demanding task — therefore, if you decide to proceed with this, I encourage you to hire an experienced WooCommerce Developer.
