Counter suddenly gone off line not working

  • The stat counter for over a day no longer loads despite clearing caches, browsers etc. see message I get below;

    This page isn’t working statcounter.com redirected you too many times.
    Try clearing your cookies.
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

    never had this before and all month this January 2019 it has Never been a problem had WordPress 5.0.3 few weeks.
    Note** No 3rd party plugins causing conflict oplus deactivated everyone to test done no theme update either. I tried deactivate stat counter even sveral times then reactivate and same issues.
    any pointers please for help?
