    Hi,
First off, thank you for an amazing plugin!

Have been using it for 5yrs, and just noticed in the past few days that the country stat no longer displays. I realize there’s some 3rd party module (MaxMind Geolocation) that has to be activated, which I’ve already confirmed has been set to on within the Settings > Maintenance tab.

Looking fwd to any ideas on how to switch the country stats back on.
    Tks in advance!

    Darren

Hi, it might be that Slimstat got a corrupted copy of the MaxMind file for some reason. Would you mind trying to update it manually?

    Hi Jason,
    Tks for the quick response.

I’ve followed your instructions, but to no avail.

If I go to Settings > Maintenance, I see that there’s an error msg:

[April 25, 2019 11:52 pm] 205 Your MaxMind data file is invalid. Please uninstall it using the button in Settings > Maintenance.

So I went to the Third Party Libraries section within that same tab, and clicked off on MaxMind Geolocation, saved changes, then went back to my Slimstats page where the country stats normally show, but they still don’t. Or if I go to the Customize section, I see that Top Countries report is greyed out and can’t be selected.

Looking fwd to any other ideas,
    Much appreciated.

    Hi Darren,

    1) Could you please click the little X icon next to the error message? It looks like a really old error, not a recent one. See if a new error pops up after a little while

    2) To see the Country (or City) associated to your visitors’ pageviews, please ENABLE the MaxMind library in the settings. It sounds like you disabled it?

    3) The Top Countries report is greyed out because it’s hidden in the Screen Options tab for that screen. Open the Screen Options drawer and enable it by checking the corresponding checkbox.

    Best,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    Tks for the suggestions.

    1) I’ve clicked the X 5min ago and no new error has popped up yet…

    2) The Country data has already been enabled I think…. If I go to Settings > Maintenance, Third Party Libraries, I see the green On button for MaxMind Geolocation.

If I go to Settings > Tracker > Advanced Options, I see that Country selection is already displayed in green.

    3) How do I go to the Screen Options drawer?

    Cheers,
    Darren

Ok great, assuming that the MaxMind file is correct, you should start seeing the Country data for your visitors already.

As for the Screen Options, remember that Google is your friend:
