Country + State DropDown

    Hi. I’ve been struggling with this for months. I want to create a dropdown so the clients of several of my websites have to pre-select their countries and cities as they do in https://alawao.com

    Base on that selection I have to hide the products that are not available in their cities

    I’ve found really good plugins that allow me to:

    • Hide products from countries.
    • Create Countries OR cities dropdown(NOT both)
    • Restrict products from categories

    I’ve also tried PHP customizations.

    I always fail to achieve:

    Client pick a country > States of that country shows > Client pick state > Products that are not in that state hide > The address of the client change to the one they selected

    I am open to any suggestion either a plugin or an article or post.

    Could you elaborate further on the brief for this, please? Why is the city selection needed? Due to shipping limitations, for example, or otherwise?

    From what I gather, you are referring to the Seleccione su Destino pop-up, on https://alawao.com, that runs a custom script as it appears. Correct? There is a country selector only, from what I can tell.

    Hi Pepé. Thanks for replying.

    Actually, city selection is not necessary only Country and State are needed. If you check the link I shared alawao.com they show you a Country selector and once you choose a country and a currency a State dropdown appears.

    From what you’ve described, it seems like you need a solution that allows customers to select their country and state, and then only shows them products available in their selected location.

    While there may not be a single plugin that does exactly this, you can achieve it by combining a few different plugins and customizations.

    First, you need to add a custom function that creates a dropdown for country selection before accessing your shop. Or you could use a plugin like the Country Based Website Switcher plugin.

    Afterward, you could use the Country Restrictions for WooCommerce plugin to hide products based on the selected location. This plugin allows you to restrict products by country, and with some customization, you could extend it to restrict by state as well.

    Finally, you could use a plugin like WooCommerce – Country Based Payments, which allows you to set up different payment gateways for different countries.
