Hi Hector, sorry to bother you. My counts are stuck at 100 views in the backend Stats. All of them.

Activating and deactivating, emptying cache, and deleting Autoptimize cache didn’t work either.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @okoth1,

Data Sampling is currently active on your website. How many visits per day does it get in average? You may be using a Sample Rate that’s too high for your current traffic levels.

    Hi Hector,

Yes, I’ve read that part, didn’t think the impact was that much. I think that value has been at 100 since it’s there…

    1 visit = 1 view = 1 database write, right?

What value would be good values 5.000, 20.000 and 75.000 visits?

Thanks for your help, Hector. Still going strong after all these years!

btw I just saw it’s working again. I lowered it to 90 yesterday. I’ll keep an eye on it.

A Sample Rate (SR from now on) of 100 is recommended for sites with 125,000-150,000 visits per day. If we go by the Rule of Three:

    • 5,000 visits per day – Min. SR: 4
    • 20,000 visits per day – Min. SR: 16
    • 75,000 visits per day – Min. SR: 60

Thanks for your help, Hector. Still going strong after all these years!

Don’t mention it. This plugin is one of my favorite projects, been working on it since 2008 and will continue to do so for as long as I can ??

    I think I’ve joined you from 2009 ??

Ok, I’m going to lower the SR. I think I higher it because I had CPU problems on the shared server.

    Thanks, Hector.
