    Hi,

I noticed that the County field is populating with ‘England’ when I enter an address – I don’t think this was there before and it isn’t a part of the address I’m entering. The country seems to appear in this field no matter what address I type in.

Can you help in fixing it? Thanks!

I also noticed that when I click on the Place Order button, nothing seems to happen, so I’ve had to disable the plugin on the live website which now works (left it active on the staging site so you can see). Can you help in fixing this?

    Hello helenmw(@helenmw),

    Greetings!

    1. Yes, The county option will appear as an optional field specifically for the country “United Kingdom” on the WooCommerce checkout page, as it is a part of UK addresses.?

    2. It appears there might be a compatibility conflict on your website. To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend conducting a theme and plugin compatibility test on your staging site. Begin by deactivating all plugins, leaving only our plugin and WooCommerce active, and switch to the default WooCommerce theme. If the issue persists, focus on the “Place Order” button, especially when using alternative payment options, and share any console errors with us for further assistance.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need additional clarifications.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. Why is the County field which should show counties, showing countries instead? That’s why I am confused. For example for the shop address post code – S11 8AE, the county should be ‘South Yorkshire’. The country is England, but this field is for the county, not the country? The country has already been selected further up the page and seems to be a mandatory field that can’t be edited (where it says UK).

    2. I have looked at plugins and the theme. I have the exact same theme and plugins activated between my live website and the staging website link I sent to you. However, the error only appears on the live website, not on the staging website, so I don’t think it can be related to plugin or theme conflicts as they both have the same and one shows the error, one doesn’t. Please can you explain what console errors are and how I can share them with you?

    Hello?helenmw(@helenmw),

    1. We are in the process of releasing a new version where, if not provided by the Google API key, the county field will be left blank.
    2. To troubleshoot the issue, you can try placing an order using different payment methods such as COD or check payment. If the problem persists, please record a video of the scenario and share it with us. Additionally, we’ve checked console errors on your sites, but these are unrelated to our plugin. For your reference, you can right-click on the screen, choose “inspect element,” and access the console. Keep the console window open while placing orders to identify payment method errors.

Hope that explains! Awaiting for your?reply.

    Hi

Thank you I can see the county field is now left blank after updating the plugin ??

Unfortunately I still can’t use it as the place order button still won’t work when I activate the plugin.

I believe it may be linked to the previous ‘Country’ issue / update you made to the plugin prior to the last one.

I deactivated all plugins and switched to a default theme, and the ‘Place Order’ button still does not work. So it is definitely this plugin causing the issue.

What happens is when I press the ‘Place Order’ button, it takes me back to the top of the checkout screen and gives me the following message –

There appears to be a problem with the address. Please correct or select one below.

Use Original Address:?3 Sharrow Lane, Nether Edge, Sheffield, S11 8AE?

Suggestion:?3 SHARROW LANE, NETHER EDGE, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND, S11 8AE

The address I entered in the autocomplete box in the first place was the one that was suggested by the plugin, so to let me select the correct address suggested by the plugin, and then to say it is wrong when I click the Place order button doesn’t make any sense.

The only difference between the address originally given by the plugin (Original Address) and the Suggested one is the country. This was all working fine before without this error appearing.

Please can you fix this error so we can use the plugin?

    Hello @helenmw,

    Greetings from ELEXtensions!

During our testing, we were able to proceed with an order without filling in the county field since it is an optional address field. You can refer to the recorded video of this scenario for clarification. If the issue persists specifically with the ‘Place Order’ button, I recommend submitting a support ticket. This will enable our team to gather more details and conduct a thorough analysis, as we are currently unable to replicate the problem on our end. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/25520081?key=d4ec9f9c4075d6824dacd4a1ab2f6a6c

We look forward to your response.

    Hello @helenmw,

We’re having trouble accessing your staging site at “https://staging39.mrsshah.co.uk/checkout/“. To properly analyze the issue with the “place order” button, we’ll need more information. You may raise a?support?ticket so we can assist you without any further delay.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
