I started out really liking this plugin with the first test gallery I created. But as I added more galleries, and larger galleries I found two issues that were deal killers for using it.

    1. When loading new images into a gallery, it shows you all the images you’ve already loaded. You then have to sort through all those images to select the ones you want to go into the new gallery. With 3 galleries loaded this became cumbersome and it could only get worse. There might be a better way to get images into galleries with this plugin but it’s not intuitive.

    2. Once you put images into a gallery you’ll most likely want to sort them. However the only page I could see to sort them paginates. So rather than displaying little thumbnails all on one page, you get a listing that spreads over several pages. If the image you want to sort to display first shows up on the last page, there’s no way to move it from one page to another.

    Dear Matt Knowles

Both of the stated points can be easily resolved. For the first point, there is an opportunity of creating folders(directories) within our file manager and upload images within that specific directory, e.g. create three folders and post images for each case within their own folder.

There is an opportunity of manually setting the order of the images. For this you should hit Show Order button below the images section and manually add numbering for that specific image and hit Save buttton. E.g. the number which is currently 41 can be changed to 12 and after saving it will take the stated position.
    Thank you.

Thanks, that makes it a little better. But it’s still a lot of extra steps to create each gallery.

When creating a new folder, you then have to go back and select the folder instead of just being in that one. It would be nice to have an option to just automatically use the slug name for the image folder saving all the other steps.

When adding images to a folder, why not make them selected by default?

When adding a thumbnail, you again have to navigate back to the folder.

When images are added, they always end up in reverse order by filename. That’s most often what I would want to sort by, so every gallery I end up having to reverse the sort. Just changing the arrow for Order isn’t permanent, you have to renumber each image.
