• Hello,

Unfortunately there’s not much of a choice in terms of esport score plugins, so I’m using WP-ClanWars for that. This plugin has potential, but lacks in crucial content as an esport score plugin and it seems that it’s just designed in a bad way.

My website is about CS:GO and I use this plugin to create matches from various leagues and events.

Please read the list of issue I currently have this plugin:
    – Score: There should be a different scoring for different games. The score display for a CS:GO game is wrong. In BO3 (Best of 3) match the score should be displayed as 2-0, 2-1, etc, and then every map has its own score (i.e. 16-12). In your plugin the score stacks up based on the number of rounds played/won and the final score is being displayed as 32-16.
When submitting a score you should be able to provide a Final Score (2-0,2-1,etc) and a score for each map separately.

-Match overview on the website: Currently when you navigate to “Matches” section you can only see the Team Logos and that’s it. That’s very bad. There should also be an option to display the name of the League/Event, etc.

-Time Display: The time of all matches are set to “Upcoming”. That’s so stupid! On the website it should be clearly visible when the each match is being played without going to each match page.

-Matches display order: I don’t think someone thought this through very well. Why the matches are being displayed from the latest to the newest? Shouldn’t be the opposite? Shouldn’t the user see the next upcoming match? Unofrtunately there is no way to change the settings, so this is clearly a matter of bad design.

Unfortunately I can see that you’ve stopped replying on this forum for long time. Shame, as there are a lots of people asking for your help.

    I hope you will reply.

    Regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Did you install WP-Clanwars from WP.org or you got it through some premium theme?

We had quite a lot of confusion around that. People purchase Premium Theme with modified copy of WP-Clanwars in it and then come to me for support complaining about incomplete features that are not even implemented in my plugin.

Latest WP-Clanwars 1.7.1 (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-clanwars) does not support team logos, upcoming matches display the date and time of the match, matches are displayed from newest to oldest including upcoming matches being displayed first.

However, the issue regarding scores (support for BO3) is legit, I shall add it to my todo list.

    Hi Andrej,

So nice to see you’re back ??

First of all I do apologise for the tone of my first message. I’ve just copy-pasted the whole content from a support page of a premium theme your plugin was supplied with. So answering your question – yes, this plugin came with a premium theme I bought.

Please don’t take it wrong. I’ve asked them for the help first. Unfortunately they’ve proven to be very unhelpful and a massive waste of time. They promised I’ll receive an update soon and, well…I’m still waiting. That’s why I came to you for help – the author of this cool plugin.

I’m sorry for my ignorance in this matter. I thought that the plugin they supplied is exactly the same as the one posted here.

I don’t really know what should I do now. I can always remove “their version” of the plugin and install yours, but still the way your current version works will not server my purpose. It’s nice that your current version is displaying the time in a manner I would expect, but still, having the team logos being displayed is very important for me. Also, because my website is solely about CS:GO, I really need to have the scoring fixed.

    What would you suggest?

    Best regards
