Couple Questions… "MORE", Post previews, and Column code…

  • Couple different questions for you guys…

    1) I need to edit the MORE text. I understand that I need a child theme and have created one but beyond that I am unsure of what I need to do.
    2) I’d like to limit the amount of post previews shown on the main blogroll before they start appearing on page 2. I believe the default is 6 I’d like just 4 under the powerpoint.
    3) The column shortcode does not appear to be working. This is how I’ve been attempting to use it. Is this correct?

    [column size=”one-half”]Text[/column]
    [column size=”one-half” last=”true”]Text[/column]

  • Hey,

    1) You can either edit the languages file, or edit sidebar-2.php directly to edit the text.
    2) This one is harder to do. Perhaps there is a plugin where you can decide how many posts you want to display on the home page.
    3) Are you using the worddpress.org version? Shortcodes are not included in it, as it’s not allowed. You need this version.
