    On any of my Course Category Pages, I get these extra items at the bottom where it is listing my “Pages”, “Archives”, and “Categories” (Post Categories, not Course Categories).

    I’ve tried to set up the site so that only the Registered Word Press Members of the Site can see the Course work. But I think I can set it to where you can browse the catalog. Trying to keep spammers from registering to the courses.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @jonathanwilson,

    This is likely part of a setting in the footer menu. You can edit the footer menu in your WordPress Admin by going to Appearance->Widgets and then removing or changing the widgets in the footer. The other place you can edit the footer menu is under Appearance->Menus and selecting the footer menu (if one is created).

    In LifterLMS unless a lesson is set to free no unregistered/unenrolled user can see the course work. If you’re wanting to remove the course syllabus (the list of the lesson names) if you’re using the current WordPress editor Gutenberg, you can remove the course syllabus block from the course so it does not list the lessons.

    A few tips that can cut down on bots is by turning off the “Anyone Can Register” setting checked on your main WordPress General settings here. You can find that setting by going to Settings->General and then the sixth option down under Email Address.

    Disable the Membership option “Anyone Can Register”.

    This is not required for LifterLMS registration and allowing anyone to register opens your site up to endpoints by millions of bots who will register spam accounts.

    Also, WordFence (the free version) will block a lot of this kind of spam without captcha! We would recommend configuring that if the spam continues.

    I hope this helps!

    Turns out it had something to do with the Frontier Theme I was using. I’ve changed to Themify’s Ultra and the extra information on those pages has gone away.

    I’m Using WordFence and Theme My Login’s Verification Plugin that requires registered users to verify their email before it actually adds them to the users.

    Right now I’m working on custom CSS codes to make the Course and Quiz modules fit the colors of my Theme.

    @jonathanwilson,

    Sounds like you’ve got this resolved then? Marking as such but if you need more help reply or post a new thread.

    Best
