    Hello,

I’ve configure one course (course A) to have access for three months after the enrollment.
Now, I want to create a new access plan. It will have unlimited access, but only to members of a membership.

    The problem is:
I’ve created the membership with two pre-existing courses. So I enroll every student from course B to this new membership plan. Then I enroll every student at both courses A and B.

However, students that had enrolled before in course A are not having unlimited access to it. Just students that were not enrolled before are enrolled by membership and, therefore, having unlimited access to the course.
So “old” students of course A are still not having access to it, even though I had subscribe them on the membership plan.

    So what can I do?

    Thank you,
    regards

  • Hi @0rbita,

Unfortunately, in this case you are going to have to unenroll the old students manually and then reenroll them in the course, or just manually update their status to enrolled.

If I’m understanding your set up correctly, what’s happening is that the old student’s enrollment trigger is from the limited three month course. So, if they were enrolled later in the membership without their old enrollment being cancelled then there was no new enrollment trigger which means they won’t have access.

I apologize for the inconvenience here! One thing that might help is that under Course A’s student management you will be able to see what the enrollment trigger was to help differentiate between membership enrollment vs course enrollment.

Let us know if you have further questions!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    However the problem continues.
I manually cancelled the old enrollment, but students still don’t have access to the course.

So maybe I configure something wrong.
I created one access plan that expired on April. It was open to everyone.
Now, I create another access plan that has unlimited access just to members from one particular membership.

But even though new enrollment triggers are available to every member, they still receive the message that the class can not be seen anymore, that the time to watch it is expired.

So what can I do then?
    Thank you!

    Hi @0rbita,

But even though new enrollment triggers are available to every member, they still receive the message that the class can not be seen anymore, that the time to watch it is expired.

This sounds like there’s a setting on the course itself that restricts access based on a time period. Do you have any settings enabled under the restrictions tab on the course editing page that could be affecting this?

There is an option to have courses open for only a certain period of time, and once that time is up the course closes regardless of enrollment.

Let us know if this helps or if the issue still persists!

    Thanks and take care,

    Hello,

That is correct! I haven’t paid attention to it, I am sorry.

    Thank you very much!
