• I want to have a picture in a post that is covered, like on Facebook, appears as a black box with text “Graphic image, click to reveal”. If the user chooses to click, then they see the image.
Is there a plugin or easy way to get this effect in WP posts?

consider something like this (reverse the process so the opaque overlay disappears on hover) https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_image_overlay_slide.asp

Thank you, I am aware of this CSS solution, but it is not what I am looking for. I want to be able to click or tap to reveal, not hover. This is a graphic image that should not “accidentally” be revealed, and it should remain revealed once tapped.

I believe this requires the use of Javascript, and I would also like to be able to customize the look. I was hoping someone knew of a plugin?
