    Hello
Great theme with amazing options and flexibility.
I’m developing a site with plain gutenberg and when using the astra theme the content created inside the “cover” block (columns or any content) is correctly fitted within the page dimensions (horizontal margins defined in the layout).

However, when changing to kadence, content overflows all the way to the edge of the browser (and beyond, some content is cropped).
Page Layout settings are set to normal, and I’ve tried both with “boxed” and “unboxed” content style, and with “normal” and “narrow”, to no avail.
This happens with the cover block and any content inside it.
Also, within the editor (backend), when making a cover fulwith I get a horizontal scrollbar in the bottom of the page, as if the content stopped fitting in the editor area and overflows.

I’ve created an example page that shows what’s happening, this page was built only with kadence active + gutenberg, you can see it attached to this post.

If I activate kadence blocks and use the row block instead of “cover” block, it works OK, but I want to stick to vanilla gutenberg as much as possible, for not compromising AMP compatibility, and not being able to use the cover block is a drawback.
It seems that some dimensions are missing in the kadence theme definitions or, maybe, something is conflicting.

Any help is much appreciated, I would prefer to use kadence instead of astra, but will have to go to the later if I can’t use gutenberg blocks.

Thanks in advance and best regards

    Hey,
Thanks for reaching out! I haven’t heard of others experiencing this. Are you running the Gutenberg plugin? If so, try deactivating that. It is not needed as Gutenberg is now the default WordPress editor.
Let me know if this is not the case for you!

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hello Hannah
    Thanks you for your reply.
No, not running gutenberg plugin, just the plain wp with kadence and toolset.
Made some layouts with the editor, like the ones on the page I sent. Switching to 2020, 2021, 2019 or astra and they all looked ok, only in kadence there was this issue with alignwide and alignfull.
Even tried in a new fresh install of wp and installed kadence theme, but the problem was the same: wrong dimensions and overflow in kadence, right dimensions in the standard WP themes.
Tried using custom css for creating such the right classes, but it was just ignored, maybe the wrong selectors.

If you can provide the css for alignwide and alignfull that works in kadence, I’ll try it and let you know.

    Best regards
    Alex

    Hey,
I see what you mean about the cover block, some themes including the core themes force a max-width on the inside wrap when the cover block is set to fullwidth. I am going to update how this works in the theme to match that, I think it does make more sense.

I should have this out today for you to test.

    Thanks for your post
