    Hello,

My Permalink structure looks like example.com/%category%/%postname%.html However, everytime I generate a new post, the permalink looks like example.com/%CPT_post_slug%/post-title I am intending to make the permalink look like the way my site’s permalink structure is set which should be something like example.com/%category%/post-title.html In the CPT post type options, under ‘Options’, Rewrite is checked and set to ‘Use the normal WordPress URL logic’ while ‘Allow permalinks to be prepended with front base’ has been set to false.

What do I need to do?

    Thanks.

You can not use those options to input %placeholders%

Those Options are to prepend the URL with something static.

I will ask our DEV team to add this as a feature, but for now it is Custom Code subject.

    Thank you

This is a nice feature that we want to implement but deploying such feature may cause a lot of compatibility issues with plugins and themes.
So, deploying this feature in the meaning time may consider a risk to our clients.

This doesn’t mean that we will not implement this nice feature.
We may implement it but it’s not scheduled in the next releases.

Keep watching the Types changelog page: https://wp-types.com/download/toolset-types/#changelog to know the newly added features from time to time.

Ok. For the moment you can just have a FAQ about this restriction. I’ll keep a watch about the change log as well. Thanks.

    I requested a Errata/FAQ entry.
