    Hey,

    I changed the title (slug) from a post type in basic settings.
    Now it shows twice in Backend dashboard.
    The old one that shouldn’t exist anymore and the new one.

    Also tried to clean the db with plugin wp optimize.

    Can anyone help?

    Best regards
    Peter

    You should be able to select the one that shouldn’t exist any more and delete with the UI. Are you not managing to do that?

    Alternatively, if you visit CPTUI > Tools and paste the blob of JSON data on the right, we can get it removed that way as well by extracting out its entry and then import the new version of the JSON to overwrite the settings. This won’t affect the posts/content/etc, just the CPTUI settings, which would match everything except the offending entry would be removed.

    Hey;

    I followed your instructions, but unfortunately it did not work.
    Is there another way to clear it?

    Can you provide the blob of JSON that you have presently, and which post type needs to be removed? I can do this manually quick and give you back the modified blob.

    The unnecessary slug was “teammember“ which is not in the blob. We referenced the cpt with generatepress and acf before.

    It’s possible that there’s registration code elsewhere, perhaps with GeneratePress or ACF that’s still registering the original. Make sure you clear out previous locations, otherwise it’ll just keep getting re-registered despite also using CPTUI.
