    Good Day
My site is still in the configuration stages and not launched, but since updating and configuring this plugin, the CPU limit on my hosting plan (site ground provider) spiked and crossed the threshold and the provider disabled my site. I had to increase my plan to reactivate and upon contacting them, I was told that there was abnormal number of domain hits versus the admin-ajax.php for my site, indicating that a plugin is compromised and generating non-legit hits.
I also noticed that many emails are being sent or being attempted to be sent from an account using my domain that I did not create.
I am not sure if either issue is connected, but I am really hoping for some clarification and resolve to both issues.
    Thanks

  • Hi,

Try to run Wordfence and see if they detect any file changes on your hosting.
If you suspect that someone compromised Post SMTP just disable it and try something else and see if the issues continue.
