    Good Day,
Your plugin is currently installed on my site. My site is still in the configuration stages and not launched, but since updating this plugin, the CPU limit on my hosting plan (site ground provider) spiked and crossed the threshold and the provider disabled my site. I had to increase my plan to reactivate and upon contacting them, I was told that there was abnormal number of domain hits versus the admin-ajax.php for my site, indicating that a plugin is compromised and generating non-legit hits.
I recently update your plugin and would like to know if this caused the non-legit hits and spike in CPU and is there anyway to prevent this.
    Thanks

    Hi there @nikih20 ????

I recently update your plugin and would like to know if this caused the non-legit hits and spike in CPU and is there anyway to prevent this.

I couldn’t find any other reports similar to this one and couldn’t reproduce this on my test site so I am inclined to think that this was due to other plugins/code installed on your site.

To test if there is any such conflict, what you can do is to do a conflict test. The general steps for the conflict test would be:

    1. Disable all your plugins but WooCommerce and WooCommerce Blocks
    2. Change your site to a default theme such as Storefront
    3. Check with your hosting if you still see that behavior that they reported.

If the problem is gone, then activate the theme, and repeat step 3. If the header and footer are still okay, activate plugins one at a time. In between each activation, repeat step 3.

If you’re interested, we have a more in-depth guide on conflict testing here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Give it a try and keep us posted.

    Cheers!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Cheers!
