• i am using ixwebhosting’s shared hosting plan (linux). recently they told me my website caused cpu overload on sever and affect other users.

Your account, or a portion or feature of it, has caused an overload on one of our servers. As you are on a shared hosting environment, we must maintain certain levels of performance for all customers on the server. This is monitored by us and we send these notifications out when we notice that a certain account is causing a load on the server degrading performance for everyone else.Your home folder was limited to FTP access only due to excessive CPU usage.

i installed wordpress 3.3.1 and other applications. after that, i did followings and problem exists and :
1.delete other applications except wordpress 3.3.1 and disucz 7.2
2.delete all unused plugins for wordpress
3.edit robots.txt to disallow all robots
    4.optimize the database in phpMyAdmin
    5.delete all revisions in wordpress

I am sorry but you are still causing an overload. The recent stats are below.

    cpu-min date
    113,27 13.04.2012
    110,49 12.04.2012
    78,68 11.04.2012
    120,48 10.04.2012
    178,45 09.04.2012

Scripts that possibly perform server overload:
    13 /hsphere/local/home/xxxxx/xxxxx.biz/index.php
    1 /hsphere/local/home/xxxxx/xxxxx.biz/wp-login.php
    1 /hsphere/local/home/xxxxx/xxxxx.biz/wp-cron.php

Amount of executed PHP scripts for yesterday: 12655

Domain name | Total num of request | Total num of request from bots |
    forum.xxxxx.biz 993 34
    xxxxx.biz 19288 1083
    openid.xxxxx.biz 9 0
    shop.xxxxx.biz 0 5
    Total – 21412 TotalBots – 1122

xxxxx.biz is my domain name. i did what i can do but the problem exists and my website is limited to access.

plugins that i am using with wordpress are:
    addthis/
    akismet/
    backwpup/

  • I have similar problem, out of the blue I received the same notification for server CPU overload and I didn’t change anything apart from updating WordPress to the latest version and my blogs plug ins. Than my Unlimited Pro account with IXWeb hostinbg was suspended or deactivated. Not bad isn’t it, considering I have spent years with my blogs and now they are inaccessible to internet visitors.
