Since the latest version my server is getting huge CPU spikes when I activate the plugin and go to the media library. Was working fine in previous versions.

How many items are you displaying at the time? The process on the server-side is the same, but the way it’s performed is very different. It used to be when the page was being generated, now it doesn’t impact it at all. It does it afterwards, but indeed, it does a request for each entry… at the same time. So that might be that. I need to look into this a bit.

I am having exactly the same problem. I used to display 300 images at the same time and with this setting I can’t even display the library in list view. I have reduced it to 100 images, it’s a bit better but it takes a while to display the page.
And on top of it I can’t even rename a single image manually. It goes into an infinite loop, no error message.

I’m using the latest version of the plugin, pro version, with WP 5.5.1. I have not uploaded any image since February.

Precision: I am able to rename from the Edit Media page but not from the Media Library page.

    Hi @hungryjos, @fonda61,

Before, in this thread, I said that…

it does a request for each entry… at the same time.

From version 5.0.6, it doesn’t anymore. So you can have 100 items per page if you like, the requests are done consecutively, two by two.

It should help ?? Let me know if it works better for you.

    Hi Jordy,
I have installed v5.0.6. It works much better now, not soliciting the CPU so much.
I can again rename a file manually from the List view now. It takes ~20 secs, more or less what it was in the past.
Thank you for fixing the issue rapidly.
