    Hello, @funique

    Please, do the following:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —>

    • —> set the option “Use AJAX for JavaScript check” to “Off”
    • —> set the option “Set cookies” to “Off”
    • —> set the option “Add a CleanTalk Pixel to improve IP-detection” to “Off”
    • —> set the option “Anti-Crawler” to “Off”
    • —> set the option “Anti-Flood” to “Off”
    • —> Save Changes.

If it didn’t help, you can simply disable the SpamFireWall feature entirely as it’s an additional feature, the main part of the anti-spam protection will still work.

Could you also provide us with a log with MySQL queries and PHP logs?

    Hello, @funique

I don’t see our plugin in your MySQL query log, so it shouldn’t cause load on your site. In the php logs, I see our plugin, but it also shouldn’t cause any problems. Did you follow my instructions? Did it help?

If not, please, create a private ticket and copy-paste your question there:

I’m dealing with the same issue right now with the same host (SiteGround). I’ve had Cleantalk installed on multiple WP sites for several years and starting this month, I’m now getting CPU usage alerts from the host. I followed all the directions in this post including turning off Spam Firewall. However, since I’m paying for Cleantalk, it seems counterproductive to pay for a service and not be able to use it. I spoke to the host and they said Cleantalk needs to make the adjustment. Please advise. Thanks
