I have to delete the plugin with the file manager to recover the site. This is from error log:

[29-May-2024 11:28:13 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: property_exists(): Argument #1 ($object_or_class) must be of type object|string, null given in ../wp-content/plugins/admin-site-enhancements/bootstrap.php:340

Happened on several sites. The above error is from a fresh WordPress installation.

    Best regards.

Thanks for reporting this Goran. Will try to fix this in the next release (probably next Monday or Tuesday).

Meanwhile, you can disable Admin Interface >> Admin Menu Organizer module until the next release, which should prevent this error from occurring.

It’s even worse after the update to 7.0.2. Now it crashes after installing. Note that I’m using multisite (only the main site for now).

EDIT: after several deleting and installations it is working for now.

    Best regards

Glad you got it to work @goran63 . Thanks for reporting.

Note that ASE does not officially support multisite installations, although several users have reported it is working quite fine on their installations. So, please use at your own risk.

Just out of curiosity, did you discover what was causing the crash and how you fixed it?

I’ve used ASE on several multisite and everything was fine until ver 7.0.
Since most of my sites are multisite, this is a deal breaker for me. Any chance to support multisite installations?
I’m not an expert and have no clue what happened.

    Best regards.

Try enabling error logging and see if you can figure out the error details / message, and copy them here, so at least we know what happened when you encountered the fatal error. Alternatively, you should also be getting an email about the fatal error details, which you can copy here.

This is not to say that I’ll be making ASE fully compatible with multisite, but it’s good to know what the actual error was. v7.0.0 does not do anything particularly different / funky, so, I’m also wondering what might have had happened.

If there’s going to be multisite support, it will likely be part of the Pro version. As you can probably imagine, ASE covers a wide terrain, and making changes and testing to ensure it’s fully compatible with multisite installs is not a light undertaking.

JFYI, it’s all good as long as I don’t activate ASE for the network.

@goran63 good to know. Thanks for sharing that. Might be useful for others who use ASE on their multisite installs.
