    this needs to be broken up into pieces so that it can be more easily managed

    the way it is now its overkill

    1. Can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress v5.0.3 and Yoast SEO v9.5?
    2. Does the problem still occur when all non-Yoast plugins are deactivated and your theme is on Twenty Nineteen? If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, this step-by-step guide will walk you through the process: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
    3. Does your server’s log show any errors related to Yoast SEO? If you don’t know where to check, or do not have the privileges to check the error log, please contact your web hosting provider. They’ll be able to provide the related error.

    Since I removed Yoast, traffic on my site has recovered significantly so Google seems to pagerank Yoast negatively
