• I am running a current version of wordpress (4.2.2) and have a genesis framework theme.

When I activated OpenTickets, it crashed my site. I couldn’t access the admin page to deactivate the plugin and had to manually delete the Open Tickets files from the PHP on my host server.

No idea what the conflict is, but I have to avoid this plugin.

Sorry to hear you had an issue. Did you have WooCommerce installed prior to activating OpenTickets?

We’ve only run into this reported issue twice with over 8k downloads, and both times it was that WooCommerce wasn’t activated prior to OpenTickets.

    Could you verify that?

Thank you for reaching out. I had Woocommerce activated.
I can try again. Hopefully, the issue won’t occur.

    Hey @kgordish,

I would be very interested to help you dive into what the problem is here. Our plugin does provide quite a bit of functionality, and it could be a good solution for many needs, possibly even yours, and if we can get you up and running so you can at least figure out if it works for you or not, that would preferable.

Obviously, there could be some unknown conflict with using the Genesis framework themes with our plugin (as you hinted towards), which could be affecting more than just your installation attempt. Ultimately, we want to make sure that such a problem does not prevent users like you from trying out OpenTickets Community Edition. The top priority here is to make sure that at the very least, if it does not work, it fails gracefully, and does not completely crash your site. Thus, any additional information you can add to this would be very helpful. Things that would really be helpful (though all information is helpful to some degree) would be any error messages you are receiving from php or any errors that are reported to your php error log, since you experienced an all out site failure. Of course any level of troubleshooting you are willing to do is more than welcomed, and any amount of help you are willing to accept from us is mostly available.

I hope we can get you on track, and anyone else experiencing this problem,
    Loushou

    Nicely said.
