Crashed site upon activation

    I recently re-installed wordpress, Kleo theme, and a couple essential plugins i.e., Buddypress, bbpress. I installed your plugin and the second I hit activate the front end of my site crashed. It defaulted to the WP 2015 theme and with no content. Then I realized nothing worked. My CPU went through the roof and then I couldn’t even get into the dashboard or anything. I had to remove the plugin folder as well as the backup folder and the tables and do a cold boot to get anything to work. Then wordpress said it was deactivated due to an error(which is probably because I deleted the folder) I have seen that others with the Kleo theme have had sucsess with this plugin so I really wanted to give it a chance. I use nginx rather than Apache if that matters. Moreover, my max PHP mem is 256 sent in the ini and also set in the WordPress config. I cannot think of anything else relevant. Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Hi, what you can try and do is deactivate all your other plugins and only activate this plugin but don’t enable the Firewall Rules. See if that works. If it does work, start activate one by one your other plugins. If nothing happens and it works after you activate all your other plugins then start enabling one by one the Firewall rules. See if that helps you.

    Are rules enabled upon activation? I only had buddypress and bbpress plugins. I cannot enable or disable anything as it crashes not just the site but the server upon activation. Ill try that tonight but if this isn’t compatible with buddypress and bbpress I would be surprised.

    Hi, no rule is added upon activation. Try one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen or Fifteen. Also can you share how much memory is allocated to your WordPress site?

    I just want to note that this is a popular plugin for my theme(Kleo)Everything was freshly installed before this.

    Can you check the server log files, especially the time you activated this plugin and you lost the front page and the cpu increased. You might also want to have a word with your host.

    Im on a VPS using CentOS 6.3 64Bit.

    I cant find anything in the logs except that I went into FTP and removed the folder and then I did a hard reboot.

    I’ve never seen this type of issue before.
    Simply activating the AIOWPS plugin should not crash the site because no rules are imposed on your site by default. The only things added are a couple of new tables at activation time which are empty.

    I recommend enabling debug in your wp-config.php file and then trying your test again and see if there are any useful errors shown.

    I would ask your host support guys to help you look through the server error logs because it is highly likely there would be some kind of log produced for such a dramatic event as what you are seeing.
