• The plugin hangs the WordPress default text editor. I cannot edit a post or add a new one as it keeps hanging all time. When Yoast is disabled, text editor will work just fine.

The premium version doesn’t work. I set posts not to show post dates in Google but it still shows post dates.

Premium does not add post meta description search, instead shows random text from post content.

This plugin is a waste of money!

  • Hi @mungerald,

    Thanks for your feedback.

We are sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with the plugin. You identified several issues and we’ve responded to them below.

    1. You said “The plugin hangs the WordPress default text editor.” Can you please make sure that you’re running the latest version of WordPress 4.9.6 and Yoast SEO 7.5.1? If you are already up-to-date, can you please check whether the problem is the same with all non-Yoast plugins deactivated and a default WordPress theme like Twenty Seventeen? Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How to Check For Plugin Conflicts
    2. The Yoast SEO date setting applies to the snippet preview you see on your post in the Yoast SEO meta box. This does not impact whether or not Google shows a date but, instead, allows you to adjust the snippet preview to match how Google handles your site. Please, refer to our this guide to learn more about this.
    3. As you’re using Yoast SEO Premium, could you contact our premium support so that we can provide you personal support and further investigate the meta description problem?

    Thanks!
