As per this Google forum discussion and experts’ view, this is not a problem.

`Its not a problem. It’s part of the NORMAL operation of a server.

Google asks to see if the file/image etc has changed since it last fetched the file. The server replies with a 304 saying it hasn’t changed.

So seeing lots of 304s if the files don’t change is correct!

(Google will treat the 304 as a 200, by fetching the contents from its own local cache)
