• I have revised my former 5 star review, which was given for the free version and that read: “Tried hard, but couldn’t find a reason why this shouldn’t get 5 stars”.

In the meantime I have bought an agency license and installed the plugin on several client sites. I’m basically still convinced that one gets a fair amount of value for the free plugin under the condition that it is used in a non-professional environment.

However, using this plugin in a business environment is causing me headaches and I therefore revise my rating to two stars:

    1. Support. Buying something with the promise of support I expect to be helped when I ask a question that directly refers to plugin functionality and that is critical to my business. Being ignored despite reminders is hard to accept.

    2. (Intended) Malfunction: Recent unpredictable code fixes have changed the way the plugin works (actual cause for support request). These changes are neither reflected in the documentation nor in the changelog and take you by surprise after updating an existing installation, as they affect basic functionality and appearance. (e.g. API, registration-process, Forms, urls in mails ..).

    3. unsatisfactory editor (both the old and the new) – e.g. inserting centered images in a custom size is a nightmare.

    4. Lack of a clear roadmap and long standing promises for extended functionality (e.g. multiple follow up sequences) that seemingly never happen.

I acknowledge the hard work the developers are putting in and I am willing to up the rating once I am convinced that this deserves better. For now I am freezing updates. I am frustrated and consider changing the provider. The effort to maintain these installs by far exceeds the price difference to a more professional service.
