    Hello,

Firstly thanks a lot the great plugin, it’s really powerful and flexible to work with.
The issue I’m facing is I need to pull some values from another plugin’s data to Tablepress table and then create a chart using Chartist extension.(please note that it’s a table plugin too that I have to include in my project).
I’ve got the values from that external plugin via its shortcode to Tablepress cells successfully (it’s showing up without any issue). But when I create a chart then for it by using Chartist extension, I just get in the result an empty chart.

Would you advice please how can I get this to work? I spent days trying to fix this without luck.

    Many Thanks & Regards,
    Salah

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, I have no idea why this is not working. This is a rather complex scenario with different plugins involved.
My suggestion would be to check this part by part. For example, can you create charts from a pure TablePress table? Can the TablePress table show the data from Shortcodes of the other plugin, etc.? Are you getting JavaScript errors from the Chartist Extension?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. Yes I tried to create chart from a pure TablePress table and it worked successfully (for both table view and chart). Then I created another TablePress table with mixed rows (I inserted normal/pure rows & other rows from the external plugin shortcode).
When I publish this table in the frontend I got all the rows showed in the table by TablePress correctly (both pure and shortcodes), but when I published the Chartist part I got in the result a chart for the pure TablePress rows only, like it ignores the shortcodes rows!
At last regarding your last question, yes I noted that I only can publish pages which contain Chartist Extension ones, then if I try to modify the published page or to reopen it from the backend I get the following error message:
‘There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’

    Hi Salah,

thanks for testing all this! Unfortunately, none of this “rings a bell” in the sense that I know what we need to change. Sorry ??
I fear that this is a limitation in that Chartist Extension. But as I’m not that Extension’s developer, I simply don’t know what’s going wrong, sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias
