Create a contact form programmatically?

Hi,

Is there a way (hook or database insert) to create a contact form programmatically?

The object is to create a default contact form with some basic fields (textbox, dropdown, checkbox, etc) and default mail settings (sender, recipient).

My plan is to create the wp_posts and wp_postmeta data programatically, but just wondering if there’s a better or easier way to do it.
