Create a downloadable link

This could only be done by custom coding, and please note, that we do not support this kind of coding, but I will give you some pointers:
1. If you would like to have a link on the slide:
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1724-slide
then you could link to a PHP file you created, and not to the actual file you want to download. Within your PHP file you can write a code to make the given file to be downloaded, and then redirect for example to the page where you came from.
2. In the Text layer:
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1832-text-layer
you can write some HTML codes, like tags. There you could use a download tag:
https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_download.asp
like this:
<a href="https://example.com/test.png" download>Download me</a>
which would make the given file to be downloaded. (As I see, in Chrome this only works if your link is from your own server.)
