    Hello,

I did not find the answer to this question in the other subjects.

On my site (OceanWP + Elementor Pro), I would like to add a kicker (standfirst) for each of my posts ie. a small introductory paragraph (1-2 sentences max) just below the title . As in this example (sentence: An ugly brawl broke out at the end of Kansas’ win over Kansas State):

I don’t know which method is the best?

1- Do I use the excerpt? I don’t use it anywhere on my site and maybe I could divert it to use it as a kicker (standfirst)? In this case, I think I should intervene in partials/single/* (layout.php, content.php + create a specific kicker.php file). I am not sure that this is the right approach. Can you confirm ?

2- Is it better that I create a specific post template with Elementor using a custom field and place it below the title? It may be easier but also a little heavier for the site, no ?

Do you have an idea ? Maybe there is a smarter method and I don’t see it ??

Thanks in advance for looking into this,

    Kind regards,
