Create a wholesale products membership site… for free?

Hi all!

My goal is to create a website that sells wholesale physical products to members only.

So once someone registers, they can become a seller (i.e., a wholesale buyer) and access the site; basically the homepage will be a landing page allowing people to register.

Once registered, they can then see a list of inventory and order as they like. The products can be shipped either to the wholesale seller, or else optionally drop shipped directly to their end buyer.

I’d like to know the easiest way to do this, hopefully for free (i.e., not having to buy any expensive plugins) as our budget is silly small right now (basically we have “sweat equity” to spend, and we’re not developers).
