• Hi to all,

i have new question for you. I’m using megazine template by theme forest.
I’ d like to add a widget in the header to display an image 250 x 100.
And until it there is no problem.

Now i’d like to create a sort of swith for the widget that pubblish different image if i’m on a page (i.e. danza) and another image if i’m on a page (i.e. musica).

And another switch that alternate different image if i’m on category danza and another if ‘im on category musica.

    Is it possible?
Is there a plugin for this?

    Thanks very much!
    Gabriele

I found a plugin called wp display header that exactly what i need. But how can i set the plugin to change mw custom header position?

The plugin does not position header images, that is still the responsibility of your theme’s header template and CSS file. You would need to alter one or the other or maybe both to change the image positioning. This is not anything the plugin can manage for you.

    Hi,

infact i think i’ve created a sort of workaround. I create on my template a header (which was not expected in my theme). I upload images bu header on appearence menu and the install the plugin to change my own header, with my widht and height… And that’s it…
I think the plugin comunicate with the standard wordpress header and so it’s not important where the header is but only the function header is working.

    Thanks

I’m glad you arrived at a solution.

FYI, the plugin works by intercepting the theme’s call to header_image() and returning the appropriate image URL instead of the theme’s usual image URL. Since no location information can be included in the image URL, the plugin cannot help you.

Managing locations the same way the plugin manages images would be awesome, but difficult to work with any random theme. Most themes predictably call header_image(), but how the positioning is handled is highly variable from theme to theme and impossible to predict.
