  • Yes, PMPro creates user accounts at checkout by default.

Right, but is there a way to create them AFTER checkout? I want to provide the least amount of work to a possible customer.

    Thanks.

So, you’re saying that they would pay first and then fill out their username, password, and email? Unfortunately there isn’t really a way to do that with PMPro really. If you had something else in mind and I’m misunderstanding you, please correct me though.

    Hi,
I am developing a website using BuddyPress on WordPress, using PMPro to restrict content & WooCommerce to buy membership. In WooCommerce the payment option is online payment (local Indian payment gateway CCAvenue).

Everything has been set properly. My only issue is user accounts are being generated even for all orders. I would want user accounts for only successful orders so only those who have had a successful online transaction would have an account. In WooCommerce Account settings I have checked “Enable registration on the “Checkout” page”. Am I going wrong anywhere?

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

@huzan to achieve that you’ll have to uncheck “Enable registration on the ‘Checkout’ page” and allow PMPro to handle user registration. On the woocommerce thank you page after a successful transaction, you can put a link to the PMPro registration form (which actually is the link to the intended membership level). That way only users who had a successful transaction would be able to register.

You can check these out to edit the woocommerce thank you page: (I’ve not tried these though but you can try them)

PMPro will create a WP user for all checkouts. It kind of has to work this way for technical reasons… mostly we need a static user object to track the orders against. This is different from how some other plugins work.

The answer we suggest is to make sure that free members or users without memberships don’t have access to the member content you want to protect. There are numerous ways to do this including just using the standard “require membership” checkboxes, protected post categories, shortcodes, or something like this:

So basically I have just installed
    – wooecommerece for free (do i have to pay for this plugin or buy on later stage, do i need this plugin ? )
    – paid membership pro (this created my pages automatically) >> how do i integrate ccavenues
    – I have created 2 member levels – 1 year and 1 year recurring
    – I can mark the post categories for members

How do i go about the whole scenario
    >> memmber sign up >> member area (top menu appears when member is logged in, which will give access to all these extra new pages and posts)
    >> member signup >> payments >> then only create a new user and pass once payment to indian bank is transfered successfully >
