    Dear Support Team,

We are experiencing an issue with the checkout process using your PayPal integration plugin. When customers select a product that requires private shipping, a PayPal pop-up appears during the payment process, prompting them to create an account to complete the transaction.

This behavior does not occur with products that do not require shipping, where customers can proceed as a “guest” without the need to create a PayPal account.

We would like to avoid requiring our customers to create a PayPal account, as this could create friction in the purchasing process. Could you please help us identify the cause of this issue? Additionally, is there any specific setting in the plugin or in our PayPal account that needs adjustment to resolve this?

We look forward to your response to help us address this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hi @ignacio75

It is PayPal’s internal logic that determines when a guest account can be used and when a PayPal account is required during payment. They do not expose this functionality via their API so the plugin cannot control that aspect.

PayPal is requiring the account because of their seller protection that exists for shipped products.

Thank you for the detailed explanation regarding PayPal’s internal logic and how it affects the payment experience. We understand that this functionality is not exposed through the API and that the plugin cannot control it directly.

However, it is worth mentioning that when we were using the official PayPal plugin for WooCommerce, we did not encounter this limitation in the payment experience. This raises questions about whether there might be differences in the implementation that could be influencing this behavior.

Is there any additional configuration or adjustment we can make on our end to try to avoid this issue? We would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi @ignacio75

This raises questions about whether there might be differences in the implementation that could be influencing this behavior.

Are you referring to the credit card form specifically? If so, that other PayPal plugin’s implementation is different than ours when it comes to the card.

It is possible that with your plugin the PayPal popup does not open and leaves the form wrapped.

    Hi @ignacio75

When the cart does not require shipping then PayPal renders the card form inline. We are working on a direct card form integration and that will be available in the next couple of releases.

    Kind Regards
