Create Author Alias

Hello,
Could you provide me with some instructions on how I could use this plugin to create an author alias custom field so that for blog posts I can use a different name for the author and a custom link too?
Basically I want that same as what this post is talking about: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/author-alias but I’m not very technical so don’t know how to add this code and thought that your plugin might be easier for me.
